Continuous Monitoring Solutions Our monitoring systems typically integrate a set of FBG optical sensors, a network of optical cables, an opto-electronic interrogation unit, and an industrial PC with a wireless data transmission module. The acquisition and processing of monitoring data follow a schedule specific to your needs and are controlled by a custom developed software application.

Fibre Optic Sensor Technology Our monitoring systems are based on advanced fibre Bragg grating (FBG) transducers – optical sensing elements that are incorporated into telecom-grade optical fibre and integrated in a suitable engineering packaging. They convert a measure and strain, displacement, temperature, humidity, for example into a wavelength-encoded optical signal that is output along an optical fibre.

Monitoring Systems for Bridges A fibre optic long term monitoring system has been designed and installed to generate strain signatures. The system is capable of detecting the structural performance of a structure and also to record the operational patterns. The data received enables competent authorities to study effective maintenance procedures and to implement new access policies.

Monitoring Systems for Buildings A fibre optic long term monitoring system has been designed and installed to automate daily measurement of displacements between main structural components within a building. Short gauge sensors are deployed to monitor strains in structural components and displacements around cracks and long gauge sensors are deployed to monitor relative displacements of pillars and columns
